Start of a Christian Life

What do You Think is a Start of a Christian Life?

A start of a Christian life is where you truly surrender your heart and soul to Jesus. It is where you take off your old sinful self, and put on your new godly self, you are born again from the Spirit. John 3:3, "Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."" It is part of your testimony.

What do Christians Face in this World?

Christians and missionaries went around the world to spread the truth and the Gospel, which is also known as the Great Commission. They dealt with a lot of rejection and hate because people are so blinded by the lies they believed in for so many years. Matthew 10:22, "You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

1. Persecution-

Many Christians in this world have dealt with persecution. Persecution is the mistreatment of people due to their faith, and beliefs. Romans 12:14, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse."

2. Sin-

We are all sinners! Mankind makes mistakes!

People are not perfect! Sin is any action, thought, or attitude that strays from God's will, or breaking faith to consider His character. We have been sinning ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit of knowledge, good, and evil which caused the "Fall of Man" in Genesis 3. Fast forwarding to Matthew 9:12-13, "On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."" The only one who never sinned, nor made a mistake is Jesus, God Himself.

Life of Prayer

Prayer is just simply talking to God like talking to another person. Prayer can make a difference in your life, and the lives of others if you do not cease it. Like Matthew 6:9-13 for example, when Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He gave what is also known as "The Lord's Prayer". Circumstances will be more difficult if you try to handle them on your own, but if you give them to God and pray about those circumstances, He will bring peace into your heart.

Jesus is Our Goal

Jesus is our goal because in John 14:6, "Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."" Our way to heaven is not a limousine, not an escalator, not money, not a ticket, not just doing good deeds, but the only way to heaven is Jesus. Believe and stop doubting because Mark 16:16 says, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Jesus paid the price for our sin by dying on the cross. He did it out of love and forgiveness so we can be with Him one day. As it said in John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." After He died, He conquered death, Hell, and the grave, yet on the third day, He has risen. He is alive! Are you willing to accept His free gift today?
